We took a lovely drive east of Seattle where we drove to Snoqualmie Falls and through beautiful roads with corridors of trees.

That evening we went to the soccer game where we got to hang out on the field while the teams warmed up. We have never been to a game where the fans are completely dedicated like the Sounders fans were. They all had flags and scarfs. They were cheering, chanting, and singing. It was so loud. Before the teams came out to play, the entire crowd stood up, put there arms up and far apart. They froze like this for some time, in pure silence. It was insane how quiet it was. Then you'd hear a big BOOM from a drum and everyone would do one huge clap at the same time. Then they'd do this again and again, but the space between the claps would get shorter and shorter. It was pretty sweet.

The match was a great one to watch. The Sounders won 4-2. We got to go to the Sounders suite after the big win. We saw the team and got to hang out with goalkeeper, Kasey Keller. He is a stand up guy and awesome keeper. He is retiring after this season.

The next day we went to the Space Needle and then walked along the Pier. We ate a huge bucket full of crab and shrimp with our hands at the Crab Pot. Then we went through Pike's Market. I loved seeing all the beautiful flowers and tasting delicious jellies. Afterwards, we saw a bunch of Mariner fans heading towards the SafeCo Field. So we followed and went to our first major league baseball game. Before our flight back, we drove out to Alki Beach. It's so pretty. Seattle was a great trip and I'm glad we were able to get away for a weekend.
